Written records alone cannot fully capture a culture. The sound of an instrument, the movement of a craftsperson's hands, the stages of making, the voice of a singer, the appearance of a place, and the surrounding environment all contain valuable cultural information.

Through photography, audio, video, interviews, drawings, measurements, and research documentation, we seek to build a multidimensional archive of cultural knowledge.
